STRING MUSIC AT ITS FINEST
Samira is an arabic name and means "the entertainer". I've always been interested in all sorts of genres from classical to pop music. As a classically trained cellist I've had the honor to play in big orchestras such as the North German Radio Philharmonic, the Essen Philharmonic and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. Meanwhile I love playing easy listening music and accompanying bands and singer songwriters.
Performing on stage with my Fine Arts String Quartet or solo with my electric cello or my acoustic cello at events, galas and award ceremonies gives me pure joy.
Highlights have been performances at the Adlon Kempinski hotel in Berlin, at the Französischen Dom, playing in a ZDF movie, the opening of the Sofitel luxury hotel in Frankfurt (Main) and the musical accompaniment of the international women's day at the German Historic Museum in Berlin.

FINE ARTS STRING QUARTET
Fine Arts String Quartet is a vivacious new ensemble consisting of four of Berlin’s most versatile young chamber musicians. They united over their common desire to make chamber music feel more approachable and tangible to both musical and non-musical audiences. Their wide repertoire ranges from classical to tango and film music as well as jazz and pop tunes.

Samira and her electric cello, accompanied by a loop station and an arsenal of effects, create an exceptional sonic experience. Layer by layer, she builds interpretations of well known songs like Radiohead’s Creep or Viva la Vida by Coldplay, creating the sound of an entire cello ensemble. Inspired by the range of possibilities, Samira also performs her own compositions of atmospheric music incorporating improvisation and extended techniques.
As a solo act, Samira is free to create new musical ideas live during her performance; every concert is a unique experience.
